We’ll Never Get Over These 7 Photos From Madisin Rian’s SI Swim Debut in the Dominican Republic

2023 SI Swimsuit rookie Madisin Rian is best known for becoming the face of Giorgio Armani Beauty in 2019, but the model has been in the industry for far longer. The 31-year-old was discovered in 2008, and has since starred in campaigns for major brands including Polo Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Stuart Weitzman and J.Crew.

The St. Louis native made waves in the industry in 2017 when she chose to shave her head, which she has referred to as a “liberating” and barrier-breaking decision.

“Beauty is not defined just by the length of your hair, the texture of your hair, or makeup or anything. Who you show up as is just enough,” Rian said. “What I’m doing is definitely, in my opinion, making a statement and changing a narrative for just women in general, but especially Black women in fashion. To have this platform to also be the face of Armani Beauty, it’s like a duty. It’s a responsibility for me to represent for so many women out there that feel the same way and to free them of judgment or any pressure that anyone may have on them.”

She uses her platform to inspire women, especially Black women, while reminding fans and followers that beauty and hair do not define who you are. Rian is also a ferocious advocate for diversity and inclusion in the fashion and modeling industries.
